This course is based on the material contained in the Global Handbook of Innovation Science, 1st ed, with supplemental material added as required. The handbook covers a broad range of subjects collectively referred to as the “science of innovation” with the IAOIP certification body of knowledge. The course will cover each section of the Foundation Level exam and present the most important concepts required to take the certification exam at the end of the course.

Objectives:
- Describe the IAOIP Body of Knowledge required for the Certified Professional Innovator-Foundation Level exam.
- Provide an opportunity for the student to compare his/her level of knowledge with the body of knowledge and identify his/her strengths and weaknesses before taking the certification exam.
- Describe the IAOIP certification system and its importance to the professional development of the individual engaged in bringing innovation content into their everyday work activity.
- Develop and broad level of understanding of the rich and varied realm of the science of innovation as perceived by the IAOIP.
